How to Watch Apple’s News and Media Event Monday

Apple is holding a media event Monday at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. Kicking off at 10am PT / 1pm ET, Apple is expected to use the event to announce a new video streaming service as well as a new news subscription service built on the bones of Texture, a news subscription app Apple acquired last year. There are also rumors of a new gaming subscription service swirling about.

Unlike most other Apple events, what we don’t expect is for there to be a hardware announcement. While Apple has been known to be a fan of “one more thing” surprises in the past, but given that we’ve seen new iPads, iMacs, and AirPods already this month the chances of us getting yet another new piece of hardware seem pretty slim.

If you didn’t score an invite to the Cupertino event you can still watch everything happen from the comfort of your home or office. Here’s how to make it happen:

Apple TV

If you’re spending the day at home Monday or your office has an Apple TV you’ll be able to stream the event from the Events app on your Apple TV.

Online

If you’re not hanging out near an Apple TV Monday morning you can stream the event from your web browser from Apple’s website. Apple notes that the stream is best experienced on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch running Safari iOS 10 or later or a Mac using macOS Sierra 10.12 or later. IF you don’t have any Apple products handy you’ll also be able to stream it using a Mac running Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge.

Apple notes that other platforms may also be able to access the stream using a recent version of Chrome or Safari.
