New dates for $4,873 Social Security payments before the end of this week

Each new month that begins means that the United States Social Security Administration’s payment schedule starts over. So if you have a retirement check you should check the requirements for the new check coming soon. If we take into account that not all Americans can get this check, checking the conditions is something fundamental.

Anyway, it is true that the Social Security Administration will send up to three other different checks to United States citizens. Each citizen gets the check on his or her established day, so it is possible to collect payment even if we are not eligible for the first of the checks each month. Pay attention to all the conditions.

When does Social Security arrive and who gets it?

The new collection day for the Social Security retirement check will be August 2nd. Group 1 retirees will be able to take advantage of this new check. There is a requirement to be part of group 1. By fulfilling this condition, the Social Security Administration will send us this check, but this does not mean that the check will arrive on the same day it is sent.

In order to get the retirement benefit on the same day, it is also mandatory to have Direct Deposit activated. This collection method is the fastest of all and thanks to it we will be able to receive the benefit at the same time the Administration sends it. If we do not activate this collection method, the money will take about 3 days to appear.

Likewise, to be part of group 1 of retirees it is necessary to have applied for the benefit since before May 1997. Any citizen who does not have a check from before this year will not be able to get their retirement payment on August 2nd, although they will be able to get it on some of the next few Social Security Administration payment days.

Can I extend my Social Security check?

The payment we collect each month from the Social Security Administration depends directly on our work history. This means that once we apply for a retirement payment we will not be able to get a larger check in most cases. There are exceptions, yes, but we cannot extend the retirement payment.

So it is best to extend the check before we apply for it. To do this we must keep in mind that retirement age, years worked and salary during those years are the key elements. The more we maximize those aspects the better retirement check we will get. Although the maximum payment is $4,873 per month, the truth is that not all Americans can get that amount.

On the other hand, we may not be able to increase the check from the Social Security Administration, but we could apply for some of the extra benefits to supplement the check. There is both Supplemental Security Income and SNAP Food Stamps. The first of these payments is also sent by the SSA and has a maximum of $943 per month.
