With the month of March about to end for United States citizens, Social Security payments begin a new cycle. And with this also comes a new calendar to know on what day exactly we will be able to receive the new Social Security check. Keeping track of this information is essential to have an absolute organization of everything related to the family economy.
Therefore, if we are expecting to receive a new payment from the Social Security Administration in April, we can already consult the calendar. In any case, remember that this is the day the money is sent. Whether or not we collect on the same day will depend on the method of collection we choose, as well as our day of birth.
Even so, it is not difficult to determine when we will receive our retirement or disability benefits. Just following the calendar scheme is more than enough. And remember that in the month of April we will not have SSI check, since due to the irregularity of the calendar the payment will be made on a different date.
Complete April Social Security Schedule
The days on which the Social Security Administration will send out the new payments for the month of April will be the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of the month. These checks will be mailed on exactly the following days:
- April 10th.
- April 17th.
- April 24th.
On the first of these days, April 10th, retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month will receive their benefits. On the other hand, the 17th of April is the day chosen for pensioners with birthdays between the 11th and 20th to receive their check. Finally, the 24th of April is the day on which pensioners with birthdays between the 21st and 31st can receive their pension.
As usual, the Social Security Administration will send pension checks on the second, third and fourth Wednesday. We will see the same structure in the rest of the year.
Who receives the April pensions?
The Administration will send pensions in April to all retirees regardless of the type of benefit they have. Thus, an age pensioner will receive a check on the same day as a disability pensioner. The only thing they have to share is the date of the birthday. It doesn’t matter the age of retirement either.
Both an Early Retirement Age Senior and a Full Retirement Age Senior receive their benefit on the same date. This is good to know at all times, as many Americans think that Social Security sends benefits for different reasons on different days. Remember, the only thing that influences whether you receive your retirement check on one day or another is just the date of your birthday.
How can I collect Social Security quickly?
There are two ways to collect Social Security. The first of these methods is deposit into a bank account and the other is Direct Deposit. Each of these methods has its own characteristics, but one is clearly faster than the other. The choice of payment method will depend on each individual.
Today it is becoming more and more common to find that U.S. citizens are choosing Direct Deposit as a method of collecting Social Security. This is normal, as this method is really fast. It is so fast that it is immediate. The moment Social Security sends the check, the citizen receives it in his pocket.
And that is why it is advisable to use this method over bank deposit. Still, both methods are perfect, although receiving Social Security through the bank account involves a wait of up to 3 days. However, if we chose bank deposit you will get the money anyway, so do not worry about it.
Therefore, the only difference we find in the charging methods is the speed. So we can choose the method we like the most. What we should never forget is on which day we will collect the retirement or disability benefit in April 2024.
In addition to these Social Security disability or age-based payments, in April there is no payment from the Administration for Supplemental Security Income. It is important to remember this, as the payment was made early last March. Thus, we will have to wait until May 1st to receive the next of the federal SSI checks that will ensure the social welfare of many American citizens.
