Although some Americans are already enjoying their Social Security check, the truth is that many beneficiaries in the United States still do not have their benefits. However, there is nothing to worry about, as the Administration still has several checks to send out during April.
So if you haven’t received your monthly check, it doesn’t mean you won’t get your retirement in April. It just means that the Social Security Administration hasn’t sent your check yet. Therefore, you could be among the group of retirees who get their check in the next few weeks of this month.
When does Social Security send the next three retirement checks?
There are only three more Social Security checks to be sent out this month. These checks will go to three different groups of retirees. The payment days, as is customary in these cases, will be on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month.
In order to get one of these checks we will have to meet certain requirements. The payments will be on the following exact days:
- April 10th.
- April 17th.
- April 24th.
The Social Security Administration will send the April 10th check to retirees born between the 1st and 10th of any month. The April 17th payment will be for retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month. The last payment, April 24th, will be only for retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month of the year.
In addition to the birthday requirement, beneficiaries must also meet another requirement. This other requirement is tied to the year of retirement. If the retirement check is after 1997, then they belong to this group. If the payment was requested from Social Security prior to that year, the check will arrive on another day entirely.
