Windows 10’s November 2021 Update Is Here

It’s official: the Windows 10 November 2021 update, codenamed 21H2, has arrived. And while it doesn’t bring very much in the way of new features, some people can still download it to your Windows 10 PC right now.

As far as getting the update is concerned, Microsoft is rolling it out gradually. First, select PCs running Windows 10 version 2004 or later. From there, other PCs running Windows 10 will receive the update.

In terms of features, there’s not too much to be excited about, especially when you compare the list to what was originally expected to be in the update. That’s because Microsoft took most of the new features and brought them to Windows 11 instead.

If you’re looking to get the update, you can follow the standard Windows Update procedure. Head to Settings, then “Update & Security,” followed by “Windows Update,” and finally click “Check for updates.”

Microsoft has announced a slower release cadence for Windows 10 updates from now on, so after this feature update, we won’t see another released until late 2022. This should create a better experience since Windows 10 users won’t need to download significant updates as frequently, especially when so few new features are coming.
